Finger Cymbals & Zills

Finger Cymbals are also known as Sills and are one of the top belly dance props. They add an auditory element to the performance and create an intimate connection between the dancer and the music. A dancer can highlight the beat of the music or the moves or choreography of the performance. Zills are typically made from a metal alloy, typically containing brass. Two cymbals are worn on each hand, one on the thumb and the other on the middle finger. Finger cymbals are typically available in gold and silver while some models also come in bronze or copper tones. 2 inch sills are the common size for a beginner to intermediate  dancer while 2.5 inch models are ideal for the intermediate or advanced dancer. Larger 3 inch models are recommended for performances in large, outdoor spaces.
